Kevin Paulin - Director
Kevin, along with his brother Musso, co-own and operate Clyde Orchards together. Kevin grew up on the orchard, only leaving briefly in the 1980’s to complete a science degree at Otago University and then a couple of years traveling in the UK and Europe. The economy of the 1980’s took it’s toll on the orchard and Kevin returned home to work with his father Peter “PG” and brother Musso where they restructured the operation and went on to grow and diversify the business.
Kevin is very active within the NZ horticulture industry. He is presently an exporter representative on the NZ Summerfruit Committee and spent six years as a grower representative in the 90’s. He also spent several years as a director of Seasonal Solutions which is a grower co-operative that manages large numbers of RSE workers from the Pacific. His main focus is on marketing and business development.
When time allows Kevin can usually be found skiing, mountain biking, playing golf or enjoying many of the other outdoor activities that those lucky enough to live in Central Otago have around them.
Kevin now shares a home with his wife Meg only 100 meters from the original orchard homestead.
Raymond Paulin (Musso) - Director
Raymond “Musso”, is the other half of the Clyde Orchards partnership. Musso has also spent most of his life on the orchard only leaving briefly in the 1980’s to complete a Diploma in Horticulture at Lincoln University, followed by the mandatory couple of years traveling in the UK and Europe. Musso also returned to the orchard to work with his father PG and brother Kevin, during the economic downturn of the 1980’s
Musso spends most of his time in the field overseeing the production side of the business, which has become much more sophisticated and diverse over the years, especially as they now have blocks spread over a 50km radius from the packhouse.
With the construction of our 6 .5 ha’s of Cravo cherry sheds and the recent plantings of new and earlier Flatto peaches Musso is excited about the future of the orchards.
Musso has been a director of both the Earnscleugh and Long Gully Irrigation Company’s and has had a long involvement with many sports clubs in the region. He has a member and held various roles in the Clyde Earnscleugh Rugby Club and is presently Vice President of the Dunstan Bowling Club.
When not working under the trees Musso can be found on the local ski fields, mountain biking in the hills surrounding the orchards or playing lawn bowls. Musso is passionate about growing the best fruit in the world and loves the fact that he gets to do so in such a wonderful location, while still living close to the original orchard homestead, sharing a home with his wife Debbie, overlooking the Clutha River.
